Vincent Van Gogh, Olive Trees: Curatorial Description

Vincent Van Gogh, Olive Trees is a tribute to Van Gogh’s obsessive connection with nature, reimagined through the chaos of street art and the digital age. Inspired by his iconic Olive Trees series, this version distorts that connection, transforming it into something more frantic—almost as if his brush had adapted to a world where the rhythm is dictated by screens rather than seasons.

Van Gogh saw olive trees as more than just trees; to him, they were a metaphor for struggle, resilience, and eternity. In this piece, that same energy remains, but it’s more aggressive, more aligned with the raw language of Street Art and Neo-Expressionism. It’s a Van Gogh caught between his love for nature and a present where landscapes have been replaced by pixels and notifications.

This portrait is part of my crazy Van Gogh portrait series, a collection that began with my collaboration with Saatchi Art, where I was among a select group of artists worldwide chosen to reinterpret Van Gogh through my own vision.

My exploration of art icons didn’t stop there. I have also reimagined classic masterpieces such as Blue Nude by Henri Matisse, in works like "Drop a Like" and "Give Me a Match", as well as La Gioconda by Leonardo da Vinci, in pieces like "Gioconda Tondo" and "Mona Lisa Gioconda".

Fantastic Deal, Even with Multiple Art Pieces!

I was thrilled to be adding several Tirigall paintings to my collection, but was a bit apprehensive about the potential shipping costs. That’s when Diego stepped up. He was incredibly understanding and worked out a way to make it affordable for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how much he managed to save me on shipping, considering the number of paintings I’d acquired. This kind of exceptional customer service is hard to come by. A huge thank you to Diego and everyone at Tirigall for making this purchase such a smooth process. I’m absolutely in love with how my house has transformed with these stunning urban art pieces, and I couldn’t be happier with the service!

Commissions FAQ

The Commission Experience

1. How can I commission a custom artwork?

The process is simple: you send me a message with your idea, we discuss details and references, I create an initial sketch, and once approved, I begin the artwork. When it's ready, I'll send it to you carefully packaged. You can see the detailed process in the "How It Works" section.

2. Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want?

Not necessarily. You can give me a general reference, a feeling you want to convey, colors you like, or even just a keyword. I'll take care of turning it into a unique piece within my style.

3. Can I request a replica of one of your previous works?
I don't make exact copies, but I can create a new work inspired by a previous piece, maintaining the essence but with variations that make it unique.
4. How long does the creation process take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the work. Normally, between 1 and 2 months. This can vary depending on complexity, changes, revisions, etc.
5. Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, I ship worldwide. Delivery times vary between 4 and 8 business days depending on location. The artwork is packaged with high-protection materials to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

6. How is payment made?

Payment is made in two parts:

  • 50% when starting the commission to reserve your artwork.
  • 50% upon completion of the piece, before shipping. I accept payments through PayPal, bank transfer, and other methods based on availability.
7. Can I return an artwork if I don't like the result?

Since it is a custom artwork, returns are not accepted. However, I make sure you are satisfied at each phase of the process, allowing you to provide feedback before finalizing the piece.

8. Do you create large format works for specific spaces?

Yes, I can work in large formats for spaces such as living rooms, offices, or commercial venues. If you have a specific space in mind, we can discuss dimensions and composition.

9. Can I see progress during the process?

Yes, I will send you updates at different stages so you can see how the artwork evolves and give your opinion before the final details.

10. Do you offer framing?

For now, all artworks are shipped unframed to facilitate transport and allow you to choose the frame that best suits your space. If you need a recommendation, I can guide you on which options work best.
