FAQ

Shipping

What is the Timetable to Receive My Package?

Original Paintings: Allow between 3 and 5 business days to book delivery. Depending on the destination, it takes 2 to 5 business days for packages to arrive. The average delivery time is 1 to 3 business days in Spain. The average delivery times in most European countries are 2 to 5 business days. U.S. deliveries are 3 to 6 business days on average.

Fine Art Prints: All fine art prints are printed at the nearest Partner Printer location. The order will take 6 days to produce. Add 2 to 5 business days for shipping and delivery.

Can I Track My Order?

All orders include a tracking number, so if you don’t have one, please ask.

Is There an Additional Tax? Will You Pay for It?

There is a local import tax for packages shipping outside of the European Union and Spain, and the buyer must pay it.

What If the Artwork Arrives Damaged?

If any artwork arrives damaged, you have a choice. You can refuse the shipment or you can tell the delivery company to mark the shipment as ‘received damaged.’ We encourage customers to take photos of the damaged artwork and parcel. Send the photos to art@diegotirigall.com. I will offer a return address to return damaged artwork.

Can I Collect My Order At Your Studio?

For original paintings, contact me at art@diegotirigall.com. I will provide a date and time for you to pick up your artwork, especially if the artwork is extra-large or has special requirements. For fine art prints, you cannot pick up the artwork at my studio because I give the prints to the nearest Printer Partner.

Can the Large Formats Ship?

All paintings larger than 48″ by 48″ are ‘rolled in a tube.’ Your local framer can re-stretch it for hanging purposes. However, I can make an exception for your order and ship the artwork in ‘ready to hang’ form. Unfortunately, the ‘ready to hang’ form will not ship for free. The reason is the large artwork will arrive packed in a wooden crate. The costs associated with crating, insurance, and shipping are expensive so it’s more cost effective to roll it.

What Are Your Shipping Rates?

The shipping is free for all fine art prints. The shipping for original paintings are free worldwide. Artworks are dispatched from Spain within 3 to 5 working days. Paintings 48 x 48 or less are packaged and shipped in a cardboard box. Paintings larger than 48 x 48 are rolled and shipped in a PVC tube. Contact your local framer to stretch the painting onto stretcher bars.

Where Do You Ship To?

I ship worldwide.

Commission Work

Do You Accept Commission?

I do, but I accept commission work on a case-by-case basis. I never reproduce my works or another artist’s works for both moral and practical reasons. If you have favourites among my paintings, send me photos or titles to art@diegotirigall.com so I will know what composition and colour palette you prefer. Use the same email to discuss the commission work in further detail.

How Much Do You Charge for Commission?

The cost for commissioned work is slightly higher than for regular artwork. This is due to the collaborative nature of commissioned pieces, which involves a back-and-forth process. As the artist, I commit to maintaining ongoing communication with the collector before, during, and after the completion of the work. This process includes sharing progress through photos and videos to ensure that the artwork is perfect, just as the collector envisioned. This process takes more time and dedication than regular paintings, where I can paint uninterrupted and solely guided by my feelings.

Is There a Deposit?

I require a 50% deposit of the total cost before I begin working on the painting. This deposit is used to cover material costs and the time devoted to the artwork. Please understand that this deposit is non-refundable in case the buyer changes their mind for any reason. I assure you that this policy is in place to ensure commitment to the project and is not intended to be punitive. Your understanding and support are much appreciated.

Can You Make an Original Painting with Custom Dimensions?

Absolutely! I can accommodate requests for original paintings of any size. There are no size restrictions when it comes to creating a piece of art that will resonate with you. If you have further questions or requests, I invite you to visit the contact page on my website where you’ll find an easy way to send me a message. I look forward to working with you to create your dream painting.
