About “Precios Cuidados”
Precios Cuidados, my latest artwork, is an original acrylic painting that merges three styles into one masterpiece. The styles are graffiti, street art, and neo-expressionist style. The painting is one of my favorites.
Meaning of Precios Cuidados
My visual storytelling incorporates pop culture imagery, consumerism perspectives from different countries, and socio-political commentaries. The painting’s name, Precios Cuidados, refers to political issues in Argentina, the country where I grew up. On sliced bread, the word ‘supreme’ alludes to the frivolous part of consumption. Written in oil stick, the phrase ‘USD TO ALL’ is a symbol of the restrictive political and economic situation in Latin America, especially Argentina. My inspiration for the girl in the painting originated from old food posters that I like so much. I felt it was appropriate to use in my paintings. A close-up image of the girl is on this web page. The lower part of this modern art painting is blurry on purpose.
