About "Tax Free"
Inspiration
There is no better beginning of a piece of large modern art, than when opening paint cans and starting to create random spots.
I remember that while I was creating this painting, I had a lot of thoughts in my head. Thoughts that try to transfer to the canvas. I remember that in this work I was inspired by the street art of artists such as Shepard Fairey, Alec Monopoly or even Kaws (I love how he uses colors in his modern art paintings).
Details
With yellow, orange and blue tones, you can see some interesting shapes and inscriptions.
In the center of the canvas you can see a blue dripped eye painted with spray paint and around it you can read different quotes, "I'm the king of the bold". This quote is about the brand of my shoe, something that is there for my purpose!
The text "Tax Free" is also read in different parts of the painting and has to do with a kind of critical message about consumerism.
And another element that is repeated is the black diamond that is seen on the left, large. And in the upper right corner, nex to the skull.
Oh, I forgot, on the center of this mixed media artwork, on the right, you can see some glued papers that have notes of random thoughts at the moment.
I love to improvise with mixed media!
