Vincent Van Gogh, Running Away From the Pandemic: Curatorial Description

Vincent Van Gogh, Running Away From the Pandemic is part of my series of crazy Van Gogh portraits, a collection that originated from a collaboration with Saatchi Art, where I had the honor of being one of the few artists worldwide selected to reinterpret the master through my own vision.

Van Gogh lived in a world that didn’t understand his art—a world that isolated him and pushed him to the margins. In this piece, I imagine him in an impossible escape, desperately running—not just from a global pandemic, but from the deafening noise of our era: social media, information overload, algorithms dictating what we see and what we ignore. A Van Gogh trapped in a present he never asked for, trying to break free, yet with no clear destination.

With this piece, I continue my exploration of how art icons can be reimagined in the context of our digital age. Since creating this series in 2022, I’ve continued reinterpreting great art classics, such as Blue Nude by Henri Matisse, in works like "Drop a Like" and "Give Me a Match", or my take on La Gioconda by Leonardo da Vinci, in pieces like "Gioconda Tondo" and "Mona Lisa Gioconda".

This painting is available for purchase and ships worldwide.

Ready for the Next Masterpiece!

Hey there, I chanced upon a reel featuring an upcoming Tirigall painting on Instagram, and it totally captivated me. Even in its incomplete stage, the promise of its brilliance was unmistakable. I promptly reached out to Diego to secure it and he was nothing short of fantastic. Now, that tour de force graces my living room and has become the focal point of every conversation. Diego, I can’t thank you enough for letting me be a part of your artistic journey and for introducing such dynamic energy into my home!

Commissions FAQ

The Commission Experience

1. How can I commission a custom artwork?

The process is simple: you send me a message with your idea, we discuss details and references, I create an initial sketch, and once approved, I begin the artwork. When it's ready, I'll send it to you carefully packaged. You can see the detailed process in the "How It Works" section.

2. Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want?

Not necessarily. You can give me a general reference, a feeling you want to convey, colors you like, or even just a keyword. I'll take care of turning it into a unique piece within my style.

3. Can I request a replica of one of your previous works?
I don't make exact copies, but I can create a new work inspired by a previous piece, maintaining the essence but with variations that make it unique.
4. How long does the creation process take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the work. Normally, between 1 and 2 months. This can vary depending on complexity, changes, revisions, etc.
5. Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, I ship worldwide. Delivery times vary between 4 and 8 business days depending on location. The artwork is packaged with high-protection materials to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

6. How is payment made?

Payment is made in two parts:

  • 50% when starting the commission to reserve your artwork.
  • 50% upon completion of the piece, before shipping. I accept payments through PayPal, bank transfer, and other methods based on availability.
7. Can I return an artwork if I don't like the result?

Since it is a custom artwork, returns are not accepted. However, I make sure you are satisfied at each phase of the process, allowing you to provide feedback before finalizing the piece.

8. Do you create large format works for specific spaces?

Yes, I can work in large formats for spaces such as living rooms, offices, or commercial venues. If you have a specific space in mind, we can discuss dimensions and composition.

9. Can I see progress during the process?

Yes, I will send you updates at different stages so you can see how the artwork evolves and give your opinion before the final details.

10. Do you offer framing?

For now, all artworks are shipped unframed to facilitate transport and allow you to choose the frame that best suits your space. If you need a recommendation, I can guide you on which options work best.
