The Painting

This contemporary art for sale, Segunda Vida, is about pursuing happiness.  It's what every human being wishes for, searches for, and strives to be, and I try to emulate that in this painting.

I infused the word "gol" as a symbol for success and the word "punk" to symbolize rebellion.  At the bottom of the wall art is the word "Americans," yet the word is blurry and crossed out on purpose.

A focal point in the painting is the dog.  It has hooks to symbolize the pursuit of happiness.  Dogs are able to pursue and retrieve items and scents with precision, so it makes sense that it is the symbol of pursuit.

At the top of the artwork is a white circle. It symbolizes a life cycle. The circle itself is unbreakable with no beginning and end, representing infinity. Happiness, once found, is infinite.

Segunda Vida artwork is done entirely with my hands and no paintbrushes. I used oil pastels, traditional pastels, and acrylic marker. Colors used are yellow, blue, black, white, and red.
